Hot Smokin Chex is not only a proven show horse, but also a well bred and dynamic athlete.

During his 3-year old year, Hot Smokin Chex won his first out at the Perry Open Futurity. With Mike McEntrire riding, he placed second in the first go, and then captured the prestigious AQHA Congress Open Futurity Championship.

A month later, Mike piloted the handsome stallion to 3rd place in the NRHA Open Futurity out of 405 entries.

In 2005 during his four year old year, Hot Smokin Chex was 5th in the NRBC Open Derby with Andrea Fappani out of 174 entries. Andrea also showed Hot Smokin Chex to win the first go of the Rancho Murietta Derby, and finished 5th in the finals.

In addition to earning over $136,000 in the show pen, Hot Smokin Chex is bred to be an outstanding sire. He is sired by multiple NRHA World Champion and NRHA Open Futurity Champion sire, Nu Chex To Cash. His dam, Snip O Gun, has produced earners of over $257,000.

Hot Smokin Chex is a full brother to the 2005 NRHA Open Futurity Reserve Champion, Big Chex To Cash. Big Chex To Cash was also the Rancho Murietta Open Futurity Champion.
