Tanya Jenkins Performance Horses, located in Temecula, CA, incorporates a training facility for performance horses, Non Pro and Youth riders and a breeding facility for her stallion Sir Reminic.

A driving dedication, coupled with the early help & influence Tanya received from reining greats Bob Loomis and John Slack, along with countless hours in the saddle perfecting her personal program for the horses and riders under her guidance have enabled Tanya to become one of the more successful competitors at local & national reining events.

Tanya began her life-long career with horses when she was eight. Showing all-around horses for almost 17 years, she worked with various pleasure & all-around trainers throughout her teens. In 1993 she was drawn to the sport of reining. During the course of several visits to NRHA & AQHA champion Bob Loomis' ranch a few times a year — gaining as much knowledge as possible in those meetings; and working & riding with various reining trainers including the guidance and influence of NRHA Futurity winner John Slack, Tanya decided to focus her professional training career in reining industry.

Career Highlights: In 2008 Tanya rode Mister Maserati through a year of reining Championships in the Arabian show world. Never defeated in 2008 in Arabian reining, the pair won the Open Derby Championship (all rounds and the finals) at the US Arabian Nationsals. In 2007, Tanya earned a place on the NRHA's Top 20 list, due in part to her successes with Rest Our Case and Whale Of A Whiz. The NRHA Top 20 are the highest earning reining professionals of the year. The year was capped off with a Top Ten finish on Rest Our Case in the 2007 NRHA Open Futurity. 2005 was a highlight year for Tanya. At the NRHA Futurity, she took two horses back to the Open Finals, and all three of her horses back to the Intermediate Open Finals. Las Cruces Whiz won the Intermediate Open Finals AND won both go-rounds of the Intermediate Open division - going into the Open Finals 3rd over-all. Challis Whiz was another Open Finalist, and Lean Lil Dunnit was Tanya's third Int. Open Finalist.

Grand daughter of both Custom Crome and Magnum Chic Dream. Open Derby prospect although behind in training (financial reasons only) - started as a three year old. Very pretty horse, tons of talent and grit, a natural stopper who keeps her shoulders up, packs her head, and really gets into her spins. Beautiful circles, awesome lead changes, pretty loper. No technical holes, loves to work, calm and sensible, fast and athletic. A doll to be around, would also make a fantastic Youth or Non Pro reiner as a finished show horse. Always been sound and fit. She has been in full training since last year and still is and was lightly shown in 2011 at four shows. Showing will start again in February 2012.
